Geared for War

The story of Perseus is uniquely entwined with the Ancient Greek gods.

Born a demi-god with Zeus as his father, his start in life was challenging (he and his mother were locked in a chest and thrown into the ocean).

Later, after being ordered to kill the gorgon Medusa, he was gifted the helm of invisibility from Hades, winged sandals from Hermes, a mighty adamantine sword from Hephaestus, and a shield of polished bronze from Athena. How could he fail to win through?

Later, after defeating Medusa, Athena asked Perseus for the head. He obliged, and Athena mounted the head of Medusa on her shield which she carried when heading into battle.

This fabled Aegis was used by both Athena and Zeus. A powerful and iconic item, famed amongst the gods.
