The Story of the Zeus Collection
This collection is inspired by Zeus, the father of the Ancient Greek gods.
Strong geometric boundaries separate three distinct areas, each with their own character.
Creating using the double glass sandwich style, it contains a variety of coloured metals and powders. Predominantly copper, silver, nickel and a variety of glass fragments and slivers fused together during the high temperature firing process.
This collection is fairly light on rich, dominant colours but has a definite power.
Sky and Thunder
According to Greek Mythology, Zeus is the father of all gods and men and a central, powerful figure. Even the gods who are not his natural children address him as Father, and all rise in his presence. At times ferocious and quick to anger, at other times he is mild and full of compassion.
Always adventurous and eager to pursue love or conflict, Zeus is a blend of black dominance and wrath, white purity and justice, the silver of lightening and a generous scattering of red passion.
When Takis created this collection, he wanted to capture the multi-faceted fusion of colours and characteristics that embody Zeus. The end result is a unique style that we hope you will love.
