The Story of the Flight of Icarus Collection
Hubris Found, Paradise Lost

Daedalus warned his son not to stray too close to the sun.
Icarus initially heeded the warning, but very soon it was forgotten. He was flying! The sensation was unique, making him feel like a god, free and unstoppable. He saw the sun hiding behind wispy clouds and it felt within his grasp. He flew closer to reach out and take it into the palms of his hands.
His father saw his son’s legendary fall towards the earth. A trail of golden wax and drifting feathers, turned to ash, followed in his wake.
The white sands of Samos welcomed him, the sea carried away his broken form. His memory lives on in the names of the small isle and the sea into which he plunged.
